Aegean Region - Golf

Recent years have seen Greece take a step forward as a tourist destination. With its wonderful weather, stunning coastline and fascinating history and culture, travellers are returning from their vacation with nothing but good things to say about it. The Aegean region is no exception and has become a significant golfing location where players of all levels and skills can enjoy impressive courses. Most courses are in the tourist resorts area but make no mistake, a quality golfing experience awaits you.

Robinson Club Nobilis is where Dave Thomas masterfully bent the golf course. It has been twisted within the natural Pine Woods. The opening 3 par and 4 holes are on broad fairways however, to make use of these fairways you have to be accurate with your tee shots. The entire length of the championship course is 6312 metres, men's 5877m and women's 5103m. The practice assortment is within the practice tee area for 60 golfers (24000 square metres). There is the putting green, chipping and pitching green. The driving range balls are Wilson ultra 90. There are several other facilities like a pro shop, indoor and outdoor restaurants, large terrace area, snack bar, club storage areas, and car parking amenities.

The Vista Park Golf course is situated next to Lake Tuxla. This is one of two courses due for completion in June 2008 and 2009 respectively. It has 18 holes and offers other facilities on the site like tennis courts, fitness centre, swimming pool and gourmet restaurant as well as a first class club house. The course was designed by Dr Gürol Büyük and his son.
